Adaptation of gothic novel starring Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn

When Christopher dies in a car crash, Corinne decides to take her four children to the house of her estranged, wealthy parents, who disinherited her because her deceased husband was her half-uncle. The children are kept in the attic to conceal their existence from the grandfather, but Corinne promises they’ll stay there for just a few days. As the months pass, Corinne’s visits decrease. The children’s health deteriorates, and the grandmother’s curelty leaves them desperate to escape.
