Rod Blackhurst is a producer, writer, and director who has worked across multiple genres but with a focus on horror and true crime. He is known for producing the Netflix documentary “Amanda Knox” (2016), being the showrunner for the miniseries “John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise” (2021), and for directing “Blood for Dust” (2023), starring Kit Harrington and Scoot McNairy. He is the executive producer of the MGM+ series “Let the Devil In” (2025) and wrote, produced, and directed “Dolly” (2025), a classic horror thriller. Blackhurst runs the Witchcraft Motion Picture Company with his partner Noah Lang, and together they produce unique original movies and TV shows.
